Weekly Photo Challenge: Urban
For this week’s photo challenge, I’d share here some of my amateur snapshots taken at the heart of Ho Chi Minh City while I was riding a taxicab on the way to the ferry station. Previously known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh is the largest City of Vietnam and one of the highly urbanized Cities in Asia. It was once known as Prey Nokor, an important Khmer sea port prior to annexation by the Vietnamese in the 17th century.
This was taken at the facade of the Reunification Palace which is a conspicuous tourist spot.
Motorbikes, the primary transport that abound the streets…
People from all walks of life rides a motorbike as is the case below of this mother and her kid.
And yeah… two is never enough, there’s always room for another backride 🙂
The last photo below was taken after I disembarked at the HCM ferry station. This is the Bitexco Financial Tower, the highest building in HCM City.
There are lots of exciting places to see in HCM City and you should consider it as your next destination if you haven’t visited it yet. The people here are warm and friendly and you’ll never feel away from home, a classic Asian hospitality awaits you.
Cheers! 🙂
Really good.
Thank you so much Lawrence for your kind comment. Cheers Mate! 🙂
For a bustling city, Ho Chi Minh looks orderly and clean. 🙂
Yeah, but the traffic jam is not far better than Manila during rush hour 🙂
Have you been to HCM?
