Cargo Ship Silhouette

I took this shot of a lonely cargo ship at sea just before dusk. The silhouette gives it a mysterious character with the solitude of sailing on the vast ocean. Seafaring is a job that requires lots of courage and sacrifices just to be away from the family. There was a prominent quote displayed in the Marine Academy that I attended which says:

“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” – Andre Gide

Have you ever had the courage to lose sight of the shore? Do let us know and share your experiences… Cheers 🙂
